Come celebrate in Ceremony and Sisterhood! Ostara is the beginning of the astrological new year with the Sun entering the astrological sign of Aries. This honouring of new life at the vernal / spring equinox is when day and night are of equal length, creating the sacred marriage equilibrium of masculine and feminine energies, light and dark, and inner and outer balance. With the Sun's strength growing from darkness, there is a serpentine / dragon energy arising from Gaia and from within us, igniting inspiration, new ideas, and fertile power.

The name Ostara comes from the Germanic Goddess, Eostre, associated with the hare and the egg, symbolic of sensuality, fertility and rebirth. It was from Eostre that the Christian celebration of Easter evolved, and also the naming of the hormone estrogen, essential to women's fertility.

In our Ceremony, we will evoke the Astrological, Elemental, Mythological and Archetypal Wisdom of spring equinox and then deepen with an Ostara Invocation and Rite. We will then connect in sisterhood for nourishing reflection and empowerment.
